Catalonia is one of the Spanish autonomous communities with the greatest social, cultural and environmental diversity in Spain. It has a temperate climate and has approximately 2,113 hours of sunshine per year. Land of contrasts tha is bathed by its 280km by the Mediterranean Sea and live at the foot of the Pyrenees.
As for the Catalan economy, in the second quarter of 2018 it grew by 3.1% GDP, according to the report of the Economic Prediction Center. These data place it above the Spanish average and the euro zone. In year-on-year terms, Catalonia continues to expand by 3.3%.
By economical sectors, Catalonia has been the community with more sales abroad according to data from the Department of Commerce. In other words, the Catalan economy is very competitive. In the same way, the building licenses for new homes grew by 15.8% in the first seven months of 2018. The growth forecast for the GDP of Catalonia will be 2.3% in 2019 (BBVA data)
